Shoe Lacing Methods

Whilst mathematics tells us that there are more than 2 Trillion ways of feeding a lace through the six pairs of eyelets on an average shoe, this section presents a (somewhat more realistic) typical cross-section of traditional and alternative lacing methods that I've either found or created or that have been sent to me by web site visitors. The selection is limited to those methods that are widely used, have a particular feature or benefit, or that I just like the look of. Stay tuned - the list is still growing!

33 Different Ways To Lace Shoes
These diagrams are all drawn as though looking from the front of the shoe, such that the lower part of the lacing (near the toes) is at the bottom of the diagram, and are colour-coded to make it easier to follow where the lace runs. Generally, the start of the lacing is Grey, while the lace end that starts on the left side is Blue and the end that starts on the right side is Yellow. For colour-blind visitors, Blue=Dark=Left, Yellow=Light=Right.
	Criss Cross Lacing This is probably the most common method of lacing normal shoes & boots. The laces simply criss-cross as they work their way up the shoe.	FEATURES: Traditional look Simple to lace Comfortable Corrugates shoe

	Straight (Bar) Lacing Often referred to as "Fashion Lacing" or "Lydiard Lacing", this variation of Straight Lacing eliminates the underlying diagonals, which looks neater plus relieves pressure on the top ridge of the foot.	FEATURES: Comfortable Even = Neat look Odd = Messy look Lengthens ends

	Riding Boot Lacing Often referred to as "Bal-Lacing", this method is for riding boots (motorbike or equestrian) that are joined at the top and that loosen near the ankle. The laces zig-zag from both ends and are tied in the middle.	FEATURES: Neat look Unusual layout Special purpose Shortens ends

‘홈에듀 민원서비스’를 (www.neis.go.kr)를 통해 유료로 제공해왔던 초·중·고교의 성적증명서, 졸업증명서, 학적부(생활기록부) 증명, 검정고시 성적 증명, 검정고시 과목합격 증명, 검정고시 합격 증명, 초 중고등학교 제적 증명 등 총 7종이 이달부터 무료서비스로 전환되는 것인데요. 공짜라니 왠지 더 출력하고 싶어지네요.^^

 

<홈에듀 민원서비스란>   ‘홈에듀 민원서비스’는 가정에서 인터넷으로 교육관련 민원서류를 발급할 수 있는 온라인 민원 서비스를 말하며 민원서류 발급 양식을 간소화하여 국민 편의를 증진하는데 그 목적이 있습니다.   ‘홈에듀 민원서비스’에서는 공인인증서만으로 민원 신청인이 직접 민원 서류를 출력하거나 온라인 민원 신청 후 우편으로 서류를 받아볼 수 있는 서비스를 제공하고 있습니다.

 

 

온라인 발급 수수료가 면제되는 서류는?

 

지금까지는 ‘홈에듀 민원서비스’에서 13종의 교육민원을 유료로 발급해 왔지만 교직원대상 민원 6종(재직증명서 등)을 제외한 학생 대상 민원은 전부 무료서비스로 전환됩니다.

2. 반드시 보안 프로그램을 설치합니다.

 

3. 메인화면 가운데의 민원서비스를 클릭하거나 교육행정정보시스템에 접속하면 상단 메뉴의 “홈에듀 민원서비스”를 클릭합니다.

이상으로 '홈에듀 민원서비스'의 무료증명서 발급에 대해 알아봤는데요. 교육과학기술부는 앞으로 ‘홈에듀 민원서비스’에서 모든 민원서류 발급을 전부 무료로 서비스하기 위해 관련 법령과 시·도교육청 조례 개정을 추진한다고 합니다. 이렇게 되면 증명서 발급으로 발생하는 시간 낭비, 비용낭비는 점차 사라질 수 있을 듯 합니다.

'입시달인'에게 공부비법 무료로 상담받는 법

“공부를 아무리 해도 성적이 안 올라요. 국어는 매일 몇 지문씩 꾸준히 풀어도 4, 5등급입니다. 영어도 주간별, 월별 계획 세우고 나름대로 철저히 공부하지만 성적이 통 안 오릅니다.” (인문계고 3학년 서모 군)

 

“성적이 제자리걸음을 하고 있다면 처음 수능을 접하는 마음으로 문제풀이의 기본부터 짚고 넘어가라는 해법을 제시하고 싶습니다. 언어와 외국어 영역에 대해 각각 말씀드리면….” (김재현 교사)

 

 

김재현 교사는 이어 언어 영역 전략 3가지, 외국어 영역 전략 7가지를 차근차근 설명했습니다. 답변 분량은 A4 용지 3장 분량. 세부적인 공부 방법은 물론, 지난해 수능 출제 경향과 올해 예상 경향까지 다루면서 친절하게 안내해주었는데요. 또 답변 말미에는 “입시는 마라톤을 하듯 천천히 끝까지 포기하지 않고 뛰는 게 중요하다”는 격려의 메시지도 덧붙였습니다. 
 

 

그런가 하면 “모의고사 점수가 형편없어 공부를 포기할까 한다”는 김모 군의 힘없는 질문에는 한양수 교사가 “3년제 전문대학을 졸업해도 같은 면허증을 받을 수 있다”며 전국대학 물리치료학과 자료를 제시하는 실질적인 처방을 내놨습니다.

 

 

한국교육방송공사(EBS)의 수능 전문 인터넷 서비스 EBSi의 ‘1:1 입시상담’ 게시판에 올라온 글들인데요. 지난 4월 말부터 시작한 이 서비스엔 개시 두 달이 안 된 6월 25일 현재 1천5백80건의 질문이 올라오며 폭발적인 상승세를 보이고 있습니다. 하루 상담 건수도 첫날은 2건뿐이었으나 최근에는 하루 40~60건으로 크게 늘었습니다.

 

답변을 해주는 교사들은 서울진학지도협의회 소속 현직 고교 교사 95명(인문계 51명, 자연계 37명, 전문계 7명)으로, 진학부장을 적어도 한 번 이상 맡아본 입시 전문가들입니다. 이들 입시 상담의 ‘달인’들은 수험생들에게 합격 가능 대학과 진로, 공부 방법, 고민 상담에 이르기까지 다양한 상담 분야를 소화하고 있죠.

 

상담을 맡고 있는 보원고 강병재 정보과학부장 겸 서울진학지도협의회 부회장은 “워크숍과 교사 전용 EBS진학자료실 등에서 정보를 교환하고, 격려의 메시지를 꼭 담아 상담을 해주니 고마워하는 학생들이 많다”고 말했습니다.

 

상담료는 무료입니다. 교사들이 답변을 작성하는 데 보통 30분 정도 걸리는데, 사교육업체의 입시 상담비가 보통 1시간에 20만~30만원대인 것에 견주면 무료로 질 좋은 상담을 받을 수 있는 셈이죠.

 

EBS 학교교육기획부의 고장원 과장은 “고3 수험생을 대상으로 올해는 1:1 입시상담에서 연 1만5천 건, 월 2천 건 이상 상담을 해주는 게 목표이며, 향후 정시나 수시 입시 때는 맞춤형 입시 지도를 해줄 예정”이라고 말했습니다.

자연친화적인 임산부 태교, 무료로 하는 방법!

‘일심동체(一心同體)’는 부부보다는 태아와 산모 관계에 어울리는 말입니다. 임신 중의 태아는 몸뿐만 아니라 엄마의 정서를 그대로 느끼며 하나가 되는데요. 때문에 여성이 임신을 하면 “좋은 것만 보고 듣고, 좋은 생각만 하라”는 말을 주변에서 자주 듣게 되는 것이죠. 그래서인지 요즘엔 음악이나 아로마 등 산모의 정서 안정을 위한 다양한 태교 방법들이 알려져 있는데요. 특히 스트레스를 줄이고 수면연장 효과를 주는

‘산림욕 효과’ 에 대한 관심도 커지고 있습니다.

 

임산부들이여, 피톤치드를 가까이 하라

 

여러분은 ‘피톤치드’에 대해 들어보셨나요? 식물이 가진 방어물질 중 특히 인간에게 도움이 되는 피톤치드는 스트레스를 줄이고 심신의 안정을 가져다주는데요. 숲에 가면 머리가 맑아지고 마음이 편안해지는 건 이러한 피톤치드가 뇌의 알파파를 증가시키기 때문입니다.

 

피톤치드는 특히 임산부들의 태교에 좋아 큰 인기를 끌고 있는데요. 전통 태교방법 중 하나인 ‘칠태도’를 보면 ‘좋은 향을 가까이 하라’면서, ‘소나무의 향취를 머금은 바람’이나 ‘매화나 난초의 그윽한 향기’를 권하고 있습니다. 

 

그래서인지 요즘엔 이러한 피톤치드를 통한 산림효과를 내는 ‘산림욕기’가 판매되고 있기도 한데요. 바쁜 일상 속에서 시간과 여유를 내기 어려운 임산부들이야 공기정화기처럼 사용한다고 해도 나쁠 건 없겠지만, 아무래도 산림효과를 직접 누리려면 숲으로 가는 것만큼 좋은 게 없겠죠. 숲은 피톤치드가 왕성하게 분비돼 인체의 면역력을 높여주기 때문에 산모에겐 ‘천국’과도 같은 곳입니다.

 

임신부부를 위한 ‘숲태교 프로그램’ 운영 

 

산림청에선 7월부터 10월까지 강원도에 있는 청태산 및 용화산국립자연휴양림에서 임신 부부를 대상으로 ‘숲태교 프로그램’을 시범운영하는데요. 1박 2일 일정으로 총 4회에 걸쳐 진행되는 이번 숲태교 프로그램은 강원도의 아름다운 산림자원을 활용해 자연친화적 태교요법을 제공합니다.

 

숲태교 프로그램은 산림청에서 중점적으로 추진하는 ‘생애주기별 산림복지체계’의 첫 단계이기도 한데요. 이는 사람이 나이가 들어감에 따라 숲에 대한 수요가 달라진다는 점에서 이를 복지차원에서 접근한 것이라고 볼 수 있습니다.

 

 

1박 2일 간의 숲태교 캠프는 숲속 태교명상, 생태공예체험, 오카리나 공연, 숲해설 등을 통해 숲속의 다양한 자극을 태아에게 전하고, 부부가 서로를 이해하고 감정을 소통할 수 있는 기회를 제공하는데요. 태교연구회 회장인 한양대 박문일 교수 등 관련 전문가들의 특강도 있을 예정입니다. 무엇보다 산모들이 함께 모여 태아에 필요한 정보를 공유할 수 있다는 게 가장 큰 장점이 아닐까 싶네요.

 

참가비는 전액 무료인데요. 임신 24주에서 32주 사이의 임신부부를 대상으로 매회 20쌍씩 선착순으로 모집할 예정입니다, 임산부들은 숲체험 프로그램과는 별도로 스트레스, 폐기능, 혈액검사 등을 무료로 받아볼 수 있다고 하네요. 또한 숲태교 프로그램에 필요한 설문조사를 통해 향후 프로그램 구성에도 반영된다고 합니다. 그동안 일반인들 틈에서 삼림욕 기회를 놓치신 분, 비용 때문에 주저하셨던 분들이라면 이번 숲태교 캠프에 참가해보는 건 어떨까요?
